1200 ports of high-capacity recording system is built on Synway’s new generation DTP series

Synway, a global supplier of media processing and signaling technology, announced that its new generation digital passive tapping series DTP has been successfully integrated into high-capacity E1 recording platform of Magnate Electron Technology Co. Ltd (hereafter Magnate) to provide over 1000 simultaneous recording in China Telecom’s call center, one of the top 3 call center in China.

Magnate’s system requires the hardware provider to deliver recording hardware with high-density, high reliability and field-proven quality. Basing on these requirements, Synway’s engineers suggest Magnate to build its recording system on Synway DTP 120C cards.

Widely used as a reliable and cost effective component by call recording application developers to passively tap E1/T1/J1 networks, the DTP 120C card supports up to 4 span taps per slot, and can flexibly fulfill various requirements in complex environment. Moreover, with on-board advanced DSP algorithm and DMA processing capability, the DTP series helps minimize host CPU resources and outperforms all competitive products in the toughest application scenarios. This includes better performance and unmatched high scalability, up to 1200(40E1)-channels simultaneous recording.

During the test stage, ten units of DTP traditional version could not run on one system reliably, and consumed much CPU resources. With one-year hard work, Synway’s engineers have optimized DTP’s architectures and adapted the latest media processing technologies, resulted to 10% low-level consumption of market-available CPU option.

Now Magnate’s E1 recording system has been one of the biggest recording system in China, which processes more than 350,000 calling one day.

About Magnate Electron Technology Co. Ltd

Jian Ming Telecommunications, the predecessor of Magnate Electron Technology Co. Ltd., had worked on telecommunications, PBX equipment, subcontracted Chunghwa Telecom’s subscriber-switchboard framework constructions, and distributed major Taiwanese brands of telecommunications equipment. With the advancing technological development, we came to the realization that sticking to the role of a subcontractor or a distributor will limit our future success. Thus, the research development team was founded in 1982 to focus on developing all types of telephone switchboards and supporting software.
